4th-20th June - Art in June
Other than Mondays and Tuesdays, The Barn will open its doors to Art in June. Art in June is an initiative that helps to promote and show off the huge variety of artistic talent that lies in West Kent and we are extremely proud to be help contribute towards its growing reputation. We have six artists exhibiting their work: Michael T Roberts, Angela Dewar, Polly Hosp, Emma Harvey, Dione McKenna and Sally Layne. All of the artists will be bringing something different to the table and we are very much looking forward to welcoming some new faces into what will be our first event in The Barn! Tickets: Free
23rd - 27th June - John Topham Photography Exhibition
For the back end of June we will have Flora Smith hosting a photography show in The Barn. Flora manages Topfoto, a photographic picture library based in Kent. Flora will be curating the work of John Topham in The Barn and we think it will go down a treat! John Topham (1908 -1992) founded Topfoto and was a social documentary photographer who is particularly noted for his work during the Second World War. We are hugely looking forward to seeing the exhibition and hope to see some of you there as well! Tickets: Free
10th July - Wild Seasoning Supper Club
Freddie Southwell, a chef based near Sevenoaks, will be hosting the first ever supper club in The Barn! Freddie has been running these types of events for a long time and we are extremely honoured that he has decided to come and host an event with us here at The Barn. Freddie's cooking is all about seasonality, sustainability and quality - three things we look to champion above all else at Falconhurst. Freddie will be providing a taster menu that will include some produce from the Falconhurst Estate and will be a menu with Asian influence. There will be a bar running alongside which will compliment the food Freddie serves. Both Freddie and The Barn are super excited to welcome some guests in for this first foodie event! Tickets: SOLD OUT
24th July - Jazz Night with Dulcie May & The Jazz Cats
Here at Falconhurst we are massively into our music. Back in the day we used to host opera performances in the garden of the main house and they were such a good laugh. We wanted to recreate some of those feelings and love the idea of being able to host a Jazz festival in the garden in years to come. For now though we have decided to host a small concert and are extremely lucky to have Dulcie May and her band, The Jazz Cats, coming to show us all a good time. The plan is to have a two set performance with an interval, for some delicious grub served up by our chef Lottie, in between. There will be a bar in the background and hopefully some good weather will mean we can have the concert outdoors! Fingers crossed and look forward to seeing you there!
Freddie is back at the end of July to provide us all with some culinary delights. Expect more of the same and expect to have a good time! Tickets: SOLD OUT
20th August - The Diner Table Supper Club
Towards the end of August we introduce our second Supper Club host to The Barn. Natalie Harris has made a big name for herself over the past year for her 'Lockdown Brownies'. After an incredibly successful year she is ready to get back into the kitchen and start up a Supper Club to run alongside her brownie business. Natalie has been a chef for a long long time and like us is all about serving up local, seasonal and delicious food. Natalie's menu will reflect the British season and will be a taster menu. Like all Supper Clubs there will be a bar in action! As with Freddie's event, expect to see produce from the Falconhurst Estate and expect to have a great time. Tickets: SOLD OUT 1st September - Alive with Flavour Supper Club
To kick off September we have Jo Banks hosting her famous American BBQ supper club. Jo has been on our radar for a while now and so we are pumped to have her finally cooking up a storm in The Barn. Jo's chef for the evening is Den, a BBQ Master and having heard tales of his wizardry on the grill, we cant wait to see what he comes up with! Tickets: Click Here
3rd/4th September -The Big Cheese Weekend
Like music, cheese plays an important part in our lives here at Falconhurst. Being a dairy farm we have dreams of creating our own but for now we have to settle for the amazing variety of cheeses that can be found on our doorstep. The Big Cheese Weekend is a supper club that will run on two evenings. We will be serving up a taster menu that demonstrates the versatility of these local cheeses. we will also be pairing these courses with some delicious wines. A good friend of The Barn, Alex Kiely, a cheese wizard from Bath, will be coming in to talk a little on the cheeses. We will also have Tim French, another friend to The Barn and a wine connoisseur, taking us through the wines that will be on show. In the Kitchen we will have our chef Lottie cooking up a storm. Long story short - its gonna be cheesy, and its gonna be a good laugh - look forward to seeing you there! Friday Tickets: Click Here! Saturday Tickets: Click Here!
16th September - Tour of France Wine Tasting
Tim French, a local wine merchant, supplies our little farm shop with a beautiful selection of French wines and he and The Barn are keen to take our wine offering to the next level. The idea is to give an overview of the variety of wine that can be experienced in France. We had considered being more specific to a certain region in France but decided that event can come next in the Wine Tasting series. We will be serving up some food to accompany the evening as well! Tickets: SOLD OUT
18th September - Meet The Maker Market
With the Farm Shop enjoying a great start to life we are keen to add to its offering. One way we are looking to achieve this is by hosting markets in The Barn. The idea for this market is to get various producers from around us to come and promote and talk about their products. You can expect to see a good bar, some brilliant food stalls, activities for kids (and adults!) and much more. Tickets: Free
24th September - The Diner Table Supper Club
Our final event of the summer is another supper club hosted by The Diner Table. You can expect to see a slightly different menu to Natalie's last event as she adapts to the changes in the seasons and what is on offer. Like the last event, as much produce as possible will be coming from the estate. Its bound to be a good laugh and we hope to see you there! Tickets: SOLD OUT
