Freddie Southwell is a self taught local chef, who has been gracing the pots and pans of The Barn for over 5 years now. Whilst we love bringing in chefs from London and further afield, we also look to our own, and Freddie is exactly that having been in the South East all his life.

Freddie’s food, as many of you know, is all about Asia. Inspired from his travels around the continent, Freddie blends all the aspects of the continents cuisine that he loves, and what comes out is truly excellent; bold flavours, served in a fun and imaginative way.

Over the time that Freddie has cooked at The Barn, he has tried lots of different formats to the experience. This year, we are focusing on provenance, with each of the five courses focusing on a local in season ingredient made by some of the excellent suppliers we have on our doorstep, including the estate itself. Each dish will celebrate a local producer – Chiddingstone Dairy, Veaseys Fishmonger, and Falconhurst Estate among others.

Freddie is with us from 7pm on 19th & 20th September, serving a 5 course menu. Your ticket price includes a welcome cocktail, with wine, beer and non alcoholic drinks available from the bar. Dinner is served at 8pm, with the evening concluding at 10.30pm. Guests are welcome to stay for another drink before heading home.

Other Info

If coming by taxi, please ask your driver to drop you off outside the barn and collect from the same place.

All supper clubs this year will be on individual tables and so we encourage you to book in groups of 2,4,6 or 8.
