To kick off September we are throwing our second and last jazz night of the summer.
One of the UKs leading jazz trumpet players, Steve Fishwick has played and recorded on both sides of the Atlantic as well as further afield in places as far flung as Shanghai and Peru. He has 10 recordings released under his own name, and has performed and recorded with many legendary jazz musicians from Europe and America. He is also a busy educator, teaching at five of the leading conservatoires in the UK: Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Trinity Laban, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and Leeds Conservatoire. Tonight he will lead his quintet of equally accomplished musicians through a concert of Miles Davis material, spanning the great trumpeters most famous recordings including his work with Charlie Parker, classic recordings such as Kind of Blue and The Birth of the Cool, and beyond!
The plan for the evening is to arrive and enjoy a garden cocktail before settling into the first act. There will then be a 2 course meal in the interval before enjoying a second act.
The evening will run from 7.00-10.30pm
